Regarding the new single and its cheeky nod to one of the largest metalcore communities online, an official press release stated:

‘Attack Attack! are here to celebrate the fine art of online complaining with ‘i complain on r/metalcore‘, yet another high-energy, tongue-in-cheek banger that was designed for anyone who’s ever posted a 12-paragraph essay about why the old stuff was better. If you’re reaching for your keyboard to draft up your thinkpiece, Attack Attack! would like to preemptively respond: ‘don’t @ us.”

“i complain on r/metalcore” lyrics can be found below:

‘Calling all bars
Last call
Last chance
Quarter milli down
Why the fuck I join a rock band

Hot dog water
On the rocks
On my nightstand
Call me Cred Durst
Cuz bitch I’m the worst

Ain’t nobody win
When it’s pay to play
Take your ass to church
Now it’s pay to pray

Never turnin’ down ma
It ain’t a phase
You a NPC
Baby I’m the game

What the fuck am I even saying in this dumbass song?

Whatever I want
Anything I want

I wanna paint your
Walls with my insides
When you taste my blood
You can’t deny
That you belong to me
I am your appetite

You can’t resist it
You won’t be the same
Now that my words
Are alive in your veins

Nothing to lose
If there’s nothing to gain
But you know
That I know
You’ll do

Whatever I want
Anything I want

I wanna paint your
Walls with my insides
When you taste my blood
You can’t deny
That you belong to me
I am your appetite

I’m the center stage
And you’re the light
I’m you’re koolaid
Flavored suicide
Cause you belong to me
I am your appetite

Guess you want the old sound
Here’s your fuckin’ breakdown

Here’s your fuckin’ breakdown

I wanna paint your
Walls with my insides
When you taste my blood
You can’t deny
That you belong to me
I am your appetite

I wanna paint your
Walls with my insides
When you taste my blood
You can’t deny
That you belong to me
I am your appetite

I’m the center stage
And you’re the light
I’m your koolaid
Flavored suicide
Cause you belong to me
I am your appetite
I am your appetite
I am your appetite’
