15 Luxurious Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

I could shower my mom with gifts every day, and it still wouldn’t feel like enough to thank her for putting up with me for 24 whole years. But it doesn’t hurt to try, right? So, I asked a couple of my very stylish colleagues—fashion editor Aniyah Morinia and executive director (and mom to be!) Caitie Schlisserman—to share the luxurious gifts they dream of giving this Mother’s Day. As we were curating our picks, there was a common thread: Fragrances. There are a lot of options on the market, but when we’re honoring one of the most important people in our lives, we can’t gift just any fragrance. It needs to be regal, elegant, and fit for royalty. The perfect one in our opinion? Versace Dylan Purple ($145). Gift this fragrance—or any of our other expert picks below—to make it a Mother’s Day they’ll remember forever.

“I’m not going to lie: I picked these products based on what I would love to receive as a first-time mom. To me, this lineup has all of the essentials to make any mom—including mine!—feel good about herself. At the top of the list is Dylan Purple Eau de Parfum, a bright and elegant fragrance with notes of bergamot and orange that can brighten up any day. Next up is a pair of Cat-Eye Sunglasses ($305) to hide sleepless nights in the most chic way, and a pair of Medusa Loafers ($850) to get any last-minute errands done in style before I welcome my baby into the world. The grand finale is the Greca Goddess Small Hobo Bag ($1550) and Medusa Quilted Zip Card Holder ($475), because being a parent is expensive.” — Schlisserman

“I got my passion for beauty and fragrance from my mom. She’s always loved delicate floral and bright citrus notes, and royal purple is her favorite color, so it feels like the Dylan Purple EDP was made just for her. In addition to perfume, my mom never leaves the house without her signature pair of gold hoops and a sleek tote around her shoulder, so I want to add the Greca Hoop Earrings ($250) and the La Medusa Tote Bag ($1690) to her collection. Yet another one of my mom’s signature accoutrements is a travel mug for her favorite English Breakfast tea, so I’m also gifting her the Barocco Travel Mug ($175). Lastly, this spread wouldn’t be complete without something deeply sentimental, like this beautifully exquisite Le Jardin Plate ($130). In my family, butterflies symbolize my late grandmother (my mom’s mom), so every time she uses this plate, it will be in honor of my grandmother.” — Walsh

“My mom is my absolute best friend, and one of my favorite things about our relationship is how much we bond over fashion. She’s always up to date on the latest trends, so she’d be thrilled to receive the Protea Suede Large Shoulder Bag ($2290) in that gorgeous light-blue hue. This hobo style is everywhere right now. My mom loves wearing bold and vibrant colors, but when it comes to shoes and accessories, she’s been sticking to the classics. You can’t go wrong with this pair of Patent Slingback Pumps ($1175), (do you see that gorgeous gold heel?) and this Medusa Heritage Leather Belt ($425). They will remain staples in her wardrobe for years to come! The Barocco Leaf Cuff Bracelet ($595) is simply fit for a queen, so adding this to my list of gifts for my mom was a no-brainer—it exudes elegance. My mom is nothing if not a fragrance snob (I say this with love), so the Dylan Purple fragrance was mandatory. I just know she’ll swoon over the floral, fruity, yet musky scent. Not only does it smell divine, but it’s such a cute addition to anyone’s dresser or vanity.” — Morinia
