Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known for his iconic role as Theo Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” has died at the age of 54. TMZ was first to report the news, citing an “unconfirmed, though reliable source,” later corroborated by People magazine. According to reports, Warner tragically passed away in an accidental drowning while on a family vacation in Costa Rica. The Emmy-nominated actor was reportedly swimming when the incident occurred.
Warner rose to fame in the 1980s with his breakout role on “The Cosby Show,” which ran from 1984 to 1992 and earned him critical acclaim. He later starred in “Malcolm & Eddie,” “Reed Between the Lines,” and, most recently, appeared on “9-1-1” in 2024. Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has debunked viral claims suggesting he underwent a bone marrow transplant as part of his battle with sickle cell anemia. The rumor began circulating on social media after an X (formerly Twitter) user confidently stated that the artist had received the medical procedure, implying it had lessened the impact of the condition. Adekunle Gold swiftly responded with a touch of humor: “It’s how you people say things you don’t know with so much confidence 😂. No I haven’t done bone marrow transplant.”
His response sparked laughter across the platform, with fans calling out the boldness of users who confidently share misinformation. The original tweet was later deleted, but not before igniting a wider conversation about online assumptions. “This app is wild,” Adekunle Gold wrote in a follow-up post. “Someone will be sharing your family secrets and you won’t even know it.” Despite the speculation, the singer remains a powerful voice for sickle cell awareness. Through his Adekunle Gold Foundation, he recently launched a free health insurance program for 1,000 people, continuing his advocacy with tangible impact.
3. Mariah Carey confirms release date for upcoming album
Mariah Carey has officially announced the release of her long-awaited new album, set to drop on September 26th. The 56-year-old music icon shared the news via Instagram, posting a glamorous video of herself posing in heels, leggings, and a black tank top. In the background, fans can hear a track that may be titled “Here For It All,” offering a sneak peek at what’s to come. The announcement has already stirred excitement, marking Carey’s return with what will be her sixteenth studio album.
The album’s first single, “Type Dangerous,” released in June, was co-produced and co-written by her partner Anderson .Paak. The track features a bold sample of Eric B. & Rakim’s classic “Eric B. Is President,” fusing hip-hop nostalgia with Carey’s signature vocals. Rumors suggest .Paak may also serve as executive producer for the album. Carey has teased a second single with a playful clip of her singing, “I’ma keep it nice, I’ma keep it sweet, I’ma keep it sugar, I’ma keep it sweet,” while preparing desserts. This project follows hints she dropped in a 2024 Variety interview, where she expressed excitement about new music: “I’ve written some new songs… I’m very excited about it.” Fans are clearly ready for the diva’s next chapter.

Galatasaray have officially reached a full agreement to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli in a blockbuster transfer. The 26-year-old, who scored an astonishing 37 goals in 41 appearances during his 2024–25 loan stint in Istanbul, will now return to the Turkish giants permanently. According to multiple top-tier transfer sources, Galatasaray will pay €40 million upfront, with an additional €35 million due next year, making it one of the biggest deals in the club’s history.
Osimhen reportedly rejected a massive €160 million contract offer from Saudi Arabia, opting instead to stay in Europe and rejoin Galatasaray—despite interest from top Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle United. Napoli retain a 10% sell-on clause, and Galatasaray have agreed not to sell the striker to any Italian club for the next two years. Osimhen is set to sign a four-year contract, earning €18 million annually, and is expected to receive a “historic welcome” upon his arrival in Istanbul on Tuesday.
