‘Alice in Borderland’ Season 2 Was an Even Bigger Hit Than Season 1
In the world of television and streaming, it’s often hard to follow up a successful first season with something equally compelling that will hold the attention of the audience. We’ve seen it happen with shows like The OA, Westworld, Altered Carbon, and many others that failed to live up to expectations. However, that wasn’t the case with Alice in Borderland. Season 2 of the series managed to be an even bigger hit than Season 1, and it has the numbers to prove it.
On Rotten Tomatoes, Season 1 of Alice in Borderland has just an 81% rating from critics, while Season 2 is holding steady at 91%. “The second season of Netflix’s popular Japanese thriller series cements its status as an engaging, allusive ‘survivalist’ thriller,” said Aditya Mani Jha from Firstpost. Johnny Loftus from Decider echoed those sentiments, adding:
“Alice in Borderland is bloody, violent, and sometimes stingy with narrative facts. But it revels in making or breaking the rules it’s created for its topsy-turvy world, and the core characters are compelling and fully rendered.”
As we eagerly await to see if Alice in Borderland Season 3 will be as well-received as the previous two, be sure to check out the action-packed preview below. For those looking to catch up on this amazing series, which is easily on the same level as Squid Games, you can stream the first two seasons now on Netflix.
