Honey Lime Fruit Salad with Fresh Basil

This light, sweet, and tangy dish is perfect any time of day!

If you’re looking for a simple, refreshing way to enjoy seasonal fruit, this honey lime fruit salad is one of my favorite recipes to make. It’s packed with juicy honeydew melon, sweet berries, fresh basil, and a bright citrus dressing that brings everything together perfectly. Whether you’re serving it at a summer barbecue, bringing it to a picnic, or simply looking for a healthy snack, this fresh fruit salad is always a hit.

Why I Love This Refreshing Fruit Salad

There are so many reasons to love this recipe. It’s quick and easy to make, naturally sweet, loaded with nutrients, and absolutely beautiful on the table. I love that it uses simple ingredients while still feeling special enough for gatherings and celebrations. This healthy fruit salad is light, refreshing, and perfect for warm weather when fresh produce is at its peak.

Summer’s Natural Flavors at Their Best

One of my favorite things about this summer fruit salad is how it lets the natural flavors of the fruit shine. Fresh ingredients always taste better, and the textures are unbeatable. Every bite is juicy, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. Even though this homemade fruit salad only requires a handful of ingredients, it tastes like something you’d find at a fancy brunch or summer gathering.

Honeydew melon makes up the bulk of this recipe. Unlike cantaloupe, honeydew has a milder sweetness and a light flavor that pairs beautifully with bright citrus and fresh herbs. It’s also packed with vitamin C and potassium, making this a nutritious addition to any meal.

The blackberries and raspberries add gorgeous color, juicy texture, and just the right amount of tartness. These berries are rich in fiber and antioxidants, making this mixed fruit salad both delicious and satisfying. Raspberries, in particular, are known for their impressive fiber content, helping you stay fuller longer.

Fresh basil is what makes this recipe unique. While basil is often associated with savory dishes, it works incredibly well in fruit-based recipes. Its subtle peppery flavor and natural sweetness complement the berries and lime beautifully. If you’ve never tried fruit salad with basil before, you’re in for a treat.

Of course, the lime juice is what ties everything together. The bright citrus flavor enhances the sweetness of the fruit without overpowering it. Combined with a drizzle of honey, it creates a simple yet flavorful dressing that transforms this dish into the ultimate fruit salad with honey lime dressing.

How to Make Honey Lime Fruit Salad

One of the best parts about this recipe is how quickly it comes together. In about 10 minutes, you’ll have an easy fruit salad recipe that’s ready to chill and serve.

Start by cutting the honeydew into bite-sized cubes and rinsing the berries. Add everything to a large bowl along with the chopped basil. Pour in the fresh lime juice, add the lime zest, and drizzle with honey if desired. Gently toss until everything is evenly coated.

For the best flavor, cover the bowl and refrigerate for about an hour before serving. Chilling allows the fruit to soak up the citrus flavors while creating an extra refreshing fruit salad that’s perfect for hot summer days.
