Town are the fifth-placed favourites for promotion
Huddersfield Town have been installed as joint-fifth favourites by the bookies to seal promotion from League One next season.
The Terriers have been given odds of 9/2 by SkyBet to secure a return to the Championship at the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
Town have recorded ninth and tenth-placed finishes in their two seasons in League One following their relegation from the second tier in 2024.
The Terriers picked up 67 points from 46 matches played last term, which left them eight points adrift of the play-offs.
Town have since appointed Martin Drury as permanent head coach, with Jon Stead as his assistant, after the pair oversaw the final seven matches of last term in interim charge.
Relegated clubs Leicester City and Sheffield Wednesday have been backed by the bookies to seal an immediate return to the Championship, being given odds of 8/11 and 9/4 respectively.
Luton Town and Stockport County are the other sides to have been given more favourable odds than the Terriers to seal promotion. Luton finished seventh last term, one point outside the play-offs, while Stockport were beaten in the play-off final following a third-placed finish.
Oxford United and Plymouth Argyle have been given the same odds as Town to be promoted, with the U’s relegated last term, while Plymouth ended up in eighth place.
