Where Travelers Are Going Next

Travel inspiration can come from anywhere. A photograph, a conversation, a memory of somewhere you have always meant to visit. But when we step back and look at the journeys guests are planning right now, clear patterns begin to emerge.

Some destinations remain timeless favorites. Japan and Italy continue to lead the way in overall demand, and it is easy to understand why. Japan’s remarkable blend of tradition and innovation and Italy’s incomparable art, cuisine, and landscapes have long captivated travelers from around the world.

Yet beyond these classics, another group of destinations is rising quickly in popularity. Guests are seeking places that combine cultural depth, natural beauty, and the opportunity to explore at a more relaxed pace. These are journeys that feel both meaningful and refreshingly different, especially when experienced with Enchanting Travels’ expert customization. From sunlit coastlines and medieval towns to wild landscapes at the edge of the world, these are some of the destinations travelers are most excited about right now.

Portugal

Few destinations balance beauty, culture, and effortless travel quite like Portugal.

Guests are increasingly drawn to the country’s variety. In a single journey, you can wander the tiled streets of Lisbon, explore the storybook palaces of Sintra, cruise past terraced vineyards in the Douro Valley, and end your trip along the golden beaches of the Algarve.

Portugal also appeals to travelers who appreciate authenticity. Historic neighborhoods still feel lived-in, local markets remain vibrant, and family-run wineries welcome visitors with genuine warmth. Add exceptional cuisine and world-class wines, and it becomes clear why Portugal continues to rise on travelers’ wish lists.

Croatia

Along the Adriatic coast, Croatia offers one of Europe’s most compelling combinations of history and scenery.

The medieval walls of Dubrovnik rise dramatically above the sea, while the ancient Roman heart of Split still pulses with everyday life inside the remarkably preserved Diocletian’s Palace. Beyond the cities, the Dalmatian coast reveals hundreds of islands — perfect for island-hopping — where quiet harbors, olive groves, and crystal-clear water define the landscape.

Nature lovers are equally captivated by the cascading waterfalls and turquoise lakes of Plitvice Lakes National Park. Whether exploring historic towns, sailing between islands, or discovering national parks, Croatia offers a journey that feels both vibrant and beautifully unhurried.

Ireland

Travelers searching for atmosphere and storytelling often find themselves drawn to Enchanting Travels favorite places in Ireland.

Here, the landscape itself feels woven with legend. The windswept cliffs along the Atlantic, including the iconic Cliffs of Moher, offer some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in Europe. Scenic drives such as the Ring of Kerry reveal a countryside dotted with ancient stone walls, quiet villages, and historic castles.Cities add their own energy. In Dublin, centuries of literary and musical heritage blend with lively pubs and a thriving culinary scene. Across the country, warm hospitality remains one of Ireland’s most memorable qualities. Conversations begin easily, stories are shared freely, and travelers often leave feeling they have experienced something deeply personal.

Alaska

For travelers seeking raw natural beauty, few places rival Alaska.

This is a landscape defined by scale. Towering above it all is Denali, rising from a wilderness that stretches seemingly without end. In coastal regions such as Kenai Fjords National Park, glaciers carve through mountains before crashing into the sea.

Wildlife encounters are another powerful draw. Travelers may spot grizzly bears fishing for salmon, breaching whales offshore, or bald eagles soaring above vast forests. Yet Alaska’s appeal extends beyond its dramatic scenery. The sense of space, silence, and connection to nature creates a journey that feels both exhilarating and restorative.

New Zealand & Australia

For travelers ready to venture farther afield, pairing New Zealand and Australia creates one of the world’s most rewarding long-haul journeys.

New Zealand captivates visitors with landscapes that seem almost cinematic. Fjords such as Milford Sound cut through towering mountains, while alpine towns like Queenstown serve as gateways to adventure and spectacular scenery.

Across the Tasman Sea, Australia adds its own remarkable contrasts. The vibrant harbor of Sydney, the marine wonderland of the Great Barrier Reef, and the country’s vast interior landscapes — home to one of the world’s greatest train rides — create a journey filled with diversity and discovery.

Together, these two destinations offer an extraordinary blend of wildlife, culture, and outdoor exploration that continues to inspire travelers planning their next great adventure.
