Fans believe that Marlena will expose the mastermind behind EJ DiMera’s shooting soon in Days of Our Lives. The case has been one of the show’s biggest mysteries. While there are numerous suspects, it looks like the culprit will finally get caught in the upcoming episodes.
Here is everything you need to know about the latest update on EJ’s shootout in the soap opera.
Will Marlena figure out who shot EJ in Days of Our Lives?
It is yet to be seen whether Marlena will figure out who shot EJ in Days of Our Lives.
There are many characters who have motives to kill EJ. This includes his own son Johnny, Rafe, Kate, Kristen, and Ava. Johnny became the prime suspect after Rachel heard him arguing with his father that night, leading to him pointing a gun. Roman also suspected Johnny, as his gun went missing around the time the latter learned the truth about his conception.
Roman tried stopping him and later found his gun in a planter. He questioned Johnny, who denied shooting his father. Soon, Roman found one bullet missing from his gun and decided to confront Johnny along with Marlena. However, Johnny turned out to be innocent in his version of the story. He revealed that he took the gun to confront his father, who insisted he stop, as he wouldn’t want his son to become like him. As a result, EJ backed off and felt terrible about planning to shoot his father.
While Johnny is seemingly innocent, suspicion also falls on Rachel. It is possible she is mad at EJ after hearing him threaten her mother and learning how he made Grandma Rachel disappear. Additionally, Rachel is trying to convince her mother not to shoot EJ, which might be a way to protect herself. She felt tired at her own birthday party after EJ mentioned the killer. This was also seen as a questionable move.
She also mentioned a nightmare about hearing a gunshot, but claimed she never heard a gunshot on the night of the incident. It is also possible Kristen knows the truth and is trying to keep her daughter out of trouble. While theories are endless, only upcoming episodes of DOOL will reveal the truth.
