The concert was part of the Easingwold Summer of Music series, which is now in its fifth year, and which aims to bring live music to the town on “most Saturday afternoons” during the summer.
A spokesperson said: “Basking in warm weather and community spirit, people from Easingwold, nearby villages, and even many visitors from York and Thirsk, packed the square and revelled in the music from outdoor seating at nearby pubs and cafés.
“This is certainly what life is all about!

“The music was delayed somewhat as an elderly lady had fallen on the footpath and hurt herself.
“We hope that she was not seriously hurt and makes a quick recovery.
“The Paisleys patiently waited for the ambulance to leave before they resumed their set, and carried on playing at the end of their expected time to compensate those watching them – what a great band they are!”
The Paisleys began with a rendition of Blondie’s ‘Sunday Girl,’ while other tracks on their setlist included ‘Sit Down’ by James and Pulp’s ‘Common People.’
‘Don’t Stop Me Now,’ by Queen, was the closer.
