Having initially joined little over one month ago on an initial one-month loan, York City have confirmed an extension to that deal that will see Fadera remain with Scunthorpe until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Fadera has so far played seven times for the Iron in their bid for promotion from the National League North, scoring twice, which included a stoppage-time equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw against Curzon Ashton last week.
The tricky winger has been enjoying regular professional football, having only stepped up from Garforth Town to City in the Summer.
Fadera had impressed manager Adam Hinshelwood in a pre-season friendly between the two sides, earning a trial and then a contract with the Minstermen.
During his time with York, Fadera made seven appearances in all competitions, looking lively during his opportunities to impress.
Hinshelwood is keen for Fadera to continue impressing, previously telling the Press: “We have high hopes with him going to a big club at another level, and he’s now starting to show some of the form that we knew he had in him.
“It’s a great move for everybody, us as a club getting a lad to a really big club and playing in big games, and he’s contributing a lot.
“It’ll have done his confidence the world of good.
“With these young lads, it’s so important that they go and play and have these experiences.
“Hopefully we can reap the benefits of a lad that has gone through that, and whether it’s this season or next season, we know that we’ll have Mo in a better position when he comes back to us.
“I wouldn’t be adverse at the moment with the squad and how it is, to keep him there and keeping him playing until the end of the season.
“If anything happens to our players and a spot opens up for him, it’d be good if we could recall on someone like that.”
