Lindsay Anfield has been forced into two changes for York’s Betfred Women’s Super League match with Leeds Rhinos (3pm), which will be the second game of a double-header at the LNER Community Stadium.
The Valkyrie’s under-19’s will first play Leeds Rhinos under-19’s (12.30pm), before the first-team takes to the stage on the search for a first league win of the season.
Tamzin Renouf has dropped out of the squad due to HIA protocols, having suffered an injury in last weekend’s 40-6 defeat at Wigan Warriors.
Renouf was stretchered off of the field, but is in good spirits with Anfield previously telling the Press: “It’s just Tamzin Renouf, who is out with a concussion.
“It’s a HIA, she’s absolutely fine, it was a knock on her back and her shoulder but because of the nature of how she went down, it’s gone down as a HIA.
“She’s just going through the protocols, but she’s absolutely fine.”
Also dropping out of the 21-player squad is Jazz Rampton, who has left the club.
Rampton has departed to pursue a new opportunity, being the second of Anfield’s forced changes in the preliminary squad.
Manuqalo Komaitai is back in the squad after a period out, whilst Kira Fitzpatrick returns having not played for the Valkyrie since the 2024 Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup.
