Founded in 2019, Apple TV+ offers a selection of original movies and television series called Apple Originals. The streaming service also boasts of one of the largest licensed content libraries. However, as the streaming wars continue, original movies have proven crucial. So far, Apple TV+ has invested heavily, giving us hits like Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon and Doug Liman’s The Instigators. And there’s more on the way.
A whopping 10 movies are confirmed to be in the pipeline for 2025 and beyond. From an animated adventure to a heist thriller directed by Guy Ritchie, plenty of goodies are on the way, so don’t lose that subscription. Whether or not these upcoming films will be good remains to be seen, but judging from recent history, we have no reason to be worried. The streaming service has served viewers more quality than quantity.

‘All of You’
Unconfirmed 2025 Release Date
All of You premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2024, but it hadn’t gotten a home yet, so Apple TV+ acquired it. The film’s Black Mirror-like premise involves a scientific test that pairs individuals with their perfect soulmate. Simon (Brett Goldstein from Ted Lasso) encourages his friend Laura (Imogen Poots from 28 Weeks Later) to take the test only to fall for her after she has found her match.
Critics are Already Pleased
Directed by William Bridges, the film has already been reviewed by several critics, and currently has an 85% score on Rotten Tomatoes. It sure looks like it’ll be one of the year’s best romance-sci-fi hybrids. Besides that, it’s socially relevant given the emerging debate regarding technology’s impact on relationships. Is the traditional way of courtship better or do humans need help in finding their soulmates? All of You will help you come to more conclusions.

‘Fountain of Youth’
Unconfirmed 2025 Release Date
Guy Ritchie’s industriousness will continue to be witnessed in 2025. Apart from Season 2 of The Gentlemen on Netflix, he has Fountain of Youth, set to premiere exclusively on Apple TV+. It follows a pair of estranged siblings who embark on a quest to find the mythological Fountain of Youth and stars big names like John Krasinski, Natalie Portman, and Laz Alonso.
Great Behind-the-Scenes News
Deadline reports that the movie’s script “blew execs away” so we could be in for something excellent here. Considering this news and the kind of actors available, this could become one of Guy Ritchie’s most critically acclaimed movies. Interestingly, it wasn’t his baby from the start. Dexter Fletcher, known for the Paramount+ TV show, The Offer, was initially in charge but departed for unexplained reasons. Apple TV+ will be glad that they got the best replacement possible.

‘Echo Valley’
Unconfirmed 2025 Release Date
Echo Valley stars Julianne Moore as Kate Garrett, a middle-aged woman recovering from a personal tragedy. Training her horses at her southern Pennsylvania farm gives her peace, but her stress-free life is soon disrupted when her daughter Claire (Sydney Sweeney) arrives at her door covered in someone else’s blood. What just happened?
Hollywood Heavy Hitters are Heading to Pennsylvania
Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby will be on script duties, so look forward to a heart-pounding experience. We figure it’ll be something like Your Honor, where mother works hard to protect guilty daughter. And if there is anyone who can handle such a premise beautifully, it’s Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney. Besides that, Ridley Scott serves as one of the producers, meaning there is no room to fail.

‘The Lost Bus’
Unconfirmed 2025 Release Date
Paul Greengrass, best known for the Bourne franchise, is the person behind The Lost Bus, set to premiere on Apple TV+ sometime in 2025. The film stars Matthew McConaughey as Kevin McCay, a driver who has to navigate a bus carrying school kids and their teacher to safety during the 2018 Camp Fire, which, at the time, was the deadliest fire in California history.
Remembering one of America’s Biggest Tragedies
Given the recent Los Angeles fires, the film is quite relevant. And we trust no one other than the “Master of Tension,” Paul Greengrass, to bring the best out of a story like this. Even better, there is plenty more talent in the picture. Brad Ingelsby serves as the screenwriter once again, while Jamie Lee Curtis is executive producing. Additionally, America Ferrera, who was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in Barbie, will play the school teacher. Buckle up!

‘Mayday’
Unconfirmed 2025 Release Date
Little has been revealed about Mayday’s plot, except that it will involve a reconnaissance mission in Soviet territory. Jointly directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, the picture is yet another star-studded affair, starring Ryan Reynolds, Kenneth Branagh, Maria Bakalova, Marcin Dorociński, Clark Johnson, Lovell Adams-Gray, and Alex Mallari Jr.
Adventure in Europe
Does Ryan Reynolds ever disappoint? We’ll watch this, not just for humor, but for the Goldstein and Dale duo, who are nothing to play with. Furthermore, their recent efforts prove they may be at their peak. The two are known for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves starring Chris Pine, which had a 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes. They also worked on Game Night, Horrible Bosses, and Spider-Man: Homecoming.

‘Highest and Lowest’
Unconfirmed Release Date
Hollywood loves remaking Akira Kurosawa movies, and there is another one on the way by Spike Lee. Highest and Lowest, starring Denzel Washington, is a remodeling of Kurosawa’s 1963 crime thriller, High and Low, which follows a Japanese businessman fighting for control of the major shoe company at which he is a board member.
A Perfect Actor-Director Duo
Spike Lee and Denzel Washington team-ups have never failed, so fans have every reason to be optimistic. However, Lee will need to outdo himself if he is to match or top Kurosawa’s film. It has a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes and was nominated for numerous awards, including Best Foreign Language film at the Golden Globes. Fingers crossed for the remake, which also has rappers ASAP Rocky and Ice Spice in major roles, as well as the talented Jeffrey Wright in a supporting capacity.

‘Outcome’
Unconfirmed Release Date
Most major actors feel tempted to take on directorial duties at some point in their careers and Jonah Hill has done the same. The Wolf of Wall Street star has teamed up with Apple to make Outcome, a film about an alcoholic actor (portrayed by Keanu Reeves) who took a five-year break to work on himself. Just as he is finding his peace, he gets blackmailed by someone in possession of one of his past videos.
Taking a Peek Inside Hollywood
Because alcoholism is a monster that plagues many people, the content of Outcome is bound to resonate. We are glad to see Hill in the director’s chair because no one understands Hollywood life better than actors themselves. Even better, Martin Scorsese is set to have a supporting role as a washed-up agent. Cameron Diaz will be present too, so this looks like it’ll be a fun and moving outing.
3
Untitled Peanuts Movie
Unconfirmed Release Date
Apple holds the rights to the late Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts comic strip catalog and has ordered its first original animated film. The story will revolve around the legendary Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang as they go on an epic journey in the big city.
Keeping it in the Family
Fans of 20th Century Studio’s The Peanuts Movie, which earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Animated Feature Film, have no reason to be worried since the movie’s writing team will return. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Charles M. Schulz’s son, Craig, and his son, Bryan, will be back, taking good care of these characters, just like their father. “It is so special to carry on my father’s legacy with an original story from me, my son Bryan and his writing partner Neil,” Craig mentioned in a statement.
2
‘Way of the Warrior Kid’
Unconfirmed Release Date
Chris Pratt has also been contracted by Skydance and Apple Original Films for Way of the Warrior Kid, an adaptation of Jocko Willink’s 2017 children’s novel of the same name. In it, Marc (Jude Hill from A Haunting in Venice) is a bullied 11-year-old kid who finds his inner confidence after some tutoring from his Navy SEAL uncle Jake (Pratt).
More Bullies Getting What They Deserve
There are tons of movies about bullying, and Hollywood still needs more of them so that victims can be empowered, and the practice can be eliminated. Way of the Warrior Kid seems like one of the fun rather than melancholic movies that touch on the subject. In the book, Marc doesn’t just master martial arts. He learns swimming, math, and several other skills. It’ll thus be interesting to see how the movie fits all these in.

‘Matchbox’
Unconfirmed Release Date
Extraction director Sam Hargrave is making Matchbox for Apple, based on the car toy brand of the same name. The film has John Cena in the lead role and will follow a group of childhood buddies who team up to stop an impending global disaster and reinforce their bond along the way.
The New ‘Fast & Furious’?
A film about cars starring John Cena? There is clearly an attempt to fill the void that will soon be left by the Fast & Furious franchise. And we are up for it, not just because the Diesel-led franchise is ending, but because there has always been a scarcity of movies for gearheads in Hollywood. Hargrave, too, is the right person for the job, given his mastery of high-octane action sequences.
